Jayne's yoga journey began in 1997 and she has been actively practicing for almost 26 years. She completed her Hatha teacher training under Kay Westcott in 2012 and is qualified at the 200-Hr level through the National Association of Certified Yoga Teachers (NACYT).

Photo sequence of Jayne and Emira taken at the barn where she rides. Emira is a rescue horse that is taken care of by Jayne and owned by Stacey Mlak. Emira is quite puzzled by Baddha Parsvakonasana.

Her practice is a blend generally based on Ashtanga and Iyengar styles. She has attended many workshops given by nationally known teachers to improve her own practice and teaching ability.  Her passion to teach is driven by her desire to see yoga improving her students’ health, mobility and longevity and to have fun!

She has  BS and MS  degrees in geology and is recently retired from a 34 year career with Chevron. She is the mother of two and lives with her husband, cats and her yoga dog Barry.
